Kraken

An ongoing and constantly developing project. The "Kraken Chest" concept is a limited edition, unique and interactive puzzle experience, documenting the final months of the life of George Gibbs, a first mate aboard a merchant vessel. Set in a fictional world during the early 17th century, the narrative follows Gibbs and his slow decline into fear and panic as he becomes sure that his ship and crew is being hunted by the legendary creature, the Kraken. The chest and it's contents contain secrets and codes hidden in letters, a journal and secret compartments within the chest. Solving the riddles and codes using the map, a lost codex and the journal of Gibbs, you are led through both a physical and digital experience, culminating in a final reward and acknowledgement of completion.
